Double Edge Fitness: Our 1000lbs 2025 Goal for Excellence in Metabolic Health
“Excellence is not a singular act, but a habit. The small, consistent steps we take every day lead to extraordinary transformation.”
At Double Edge Fitness, we believe that striving for excellence is more than just lifting heavier or running faster it’s about becoming healthier, stronger, and more capable in all aspects of life. As we look toward 2025, we are setting an ambitious yet achievable goal to inspire, challenge, and unite our amazing community:
By the end of 2025, we aim to collectively lose 1,000 pounds of fat and gain 300 pounds of muscle as a gym.
This isn’t just about numbers on a scale it’s about transforming body composition to optimize metabolic health, improve longevity, and achieve excellence.
Why This Goal Matters
Body composition—the ratio of lean muscle to body fat—is one of the most important indicators of overall health. Here’s why:
Healthy Fat Levels: Maintaining a lower percentage of body fat, especially visceral fat, reduces the risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes, and inflammation.
More Muscle, More Health: Increasing lean muscle mass supports a higher resting metabolic rate, improves insulin sensitivity, and enhances physical performance.
Community Inspiration: As a team, working together to hit this goal fosters accountability, camaraderie, and motivation to keep pushing for greatness.
How We’ll Measure Success
To track progress toward this gym-wide goal, we’ll be utilizing InBody scans every quarter. This allows you to track the changes in your body composition—not just weight—but what’s happening beneath the surface:
Fat Mass: How much body fat you’re losing.
Lean Muscle Mass: How much muscle you’re building.
Metabolic Health Markers: Tracking trends that show improved overall health.
By committing to quarterly InBody scans, you’ll have a clear picture of your progress and be part of the larger mission of improving metabolic health as a gym family.
Our Vision: Achieving Excellence Together
With 400 members, our goal of 1,000 pounds of fat loss and 300 pounds of muscle gain breaks down into achievable steps:
Average Fat Loss per Member: Just 2.5 pounds of fat over the year.
Average Muscle Gain per Member: Just 0.75 pounds of muscle over the year.
When we each focus on small, consistent changes, those efforts compound into something monumental.
